Tennessee Farm Bureau Standing Out at American Farm Bureau Annual Meeting

Each year during the annual meeting, state Farm Bureaus are recognized for excellence in membership achievement and for implementing outstanding programs serving Farm Bureau members.

During the 93rd Annual Meeting, American Farm Bureau Federation President Bob Stallman presented the Tennessee Farm Bureau with  the Pinnacle Award for overall outstanding program achievement combined with membership growth. We also received five Awards for Excellence in Agriculture Education and Promotion, Leadership Development, Member Services, Policy Implementation and Public Relations and Information.

Also during the annual meeting, Young Farmers and Ranchers hold their national competitions in Discussion Meet, Acheivement Award and Excellence in Agriculture. Tennessee stood out here as well, with Kim Holmberg making the Sweet 16, Andy and Ellie Holt in the Top Ten, and Ben and Jennifer Moore in the Top Ten. Announcements for the winners of these contests will be announced at the closing general session on Monday, January 9.

We will have more updates and pictures coming from the 93rd Annual Meeting, and check out our Facebook page for up to the minute pictures and information!
