Public Policy:

  • Must be an agriculture major
  • Job responsibilities:
    • Track agricultural issues
    • Legislative research
    • Develop talking points on agricultural issues

Communications:

  • Must be a communications/journalism major
  • Job responsibilities:
    • Assist with TFBF radio & tv production
    • Create content for TFBF social media
    • Write news articles and reports

Special Programs:

  • Must be an agriculture major
  • Job responsibilities:
    • Assist with Ag in the Classroom workshops
    • Assist with conferences & programs
    • Work with the YF&R and FB Women’s program

Ag in the Classroom:

  • Must be an agriculture major
  • Job responsibilities:
    • Assist with Ag in the Classroom workshops
    • Create lesson plans for AITC
    • Assist with AITC consultant and teacher training

Terms of Internship and Pay:

This is a twelve-week position for the summer established by the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation. The intern will be paid $4,000.00 for the 12 weeks of work, plus travel expenses incurred when traveling for TFBF. The candidate selected will be working from the office of Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation in Columbia, Tennessee. Some long hours, evening and weekend work will be required during special events and activities.
