Summer Internship Program

Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation announces internship opportunities for college juniors and seniors in the state of Tennessee.

I.       Public Policy (Must be an agriculture major)

Tracking Agricultural Issues
Legislative Research
Developing Talking Points on Agricultural Issues

II.      Communications (Must be a communications or journalism major)

Assist with TFBF Communications
Research agricultural news
Write news articles and reports

III.     Special Programs (Must be an agriculture major)

Assist with Agriculture in the Classroom Workshops & Programs
Write lesson plans involving agriculture
Assist with conferences & programs

IV.      Applications should include:

1. The student’s resume
2. Letters of recommendation (Up to 3 with 1 from university advisor)
3. College transcript
4. A cover letter telling what area of interest and why you want to work for Tennessee Farm Bureau through this intern program

V.     Terms of Internship and Pay:

This is a twelve-week position for the summer established by the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation. The intern will be paid $4,000.00 for the 12 weeks of work, plus travel expenses incurred when traveling for TFBF. The candidate selected will be working from the office of Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation in Columbia, Tennessee. Some long hours, evening and weekend work will be required during special events and activities.

VI. Public Policy applications due October 15. Other applications due January 29.
Interviews will be scheduled in Columbia.
