Essay Contest

TN Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee and the Agriculture in the Classroom program sponsor an essay contest to promote agriculture education. Download the Essay Contest brochure for guidelines and other contest information.  The brochure information is for the STATE contest.  Each county administers their contest locally setting a deadline prior to the state’s March deadline allowing time to select a county winner.  The selected county winner is then submitted to the state contest.

2nd Place – Gunner Matlock, Franklin County
3rd Place – Avery Williamson, Giles County

 

State Contest Information:

First Place: $300
Second Place: $200
Third Place: $100
The teacher of the state winning entries will also receive $100.

All essays submitted to the state contest will become the property of the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation and the Tennessee Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom. They may be used for promotional purposes. More information on criteria and guidelines can be found below, as well as a certificate counties may use.
