Advanced Master Beef Producer Program – Herd Health with Dr. Lew Strickland

The Advanced Master Beef Producer Program is an extensive educational program that was developed to provide information to assist you and other Tennessee cow-calf producers improve the profitability of cow-calf operations. This is a multi-county program and
will be attended by your fellow cattle producers in neighboring counties.
Producers enrolling in the Advanced Master Beef Producer program will have the opportunity to attend multiple sessions of topics that focus on cow-calf production, marketing and issues facing the beef industry. To complete the Advanced Master Beef Producer Program you must attend 7 sessions.
Producers that complete the Advanced Master Beef Producer Program have the opportunity to qualify for a $100.00 scholarship provided by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture that will be applied toward your $225.00 enrollment fee. This scholarship is provided through funding by the Tennessee Agriculture Enhancement Program. To qualify for the scholarship, you must have a “Beef Quality Assurance” (BQA) Certification number.
If you are attending the TCA State Convention there are sessions that can qualify toward this Advanced Master Beef Producer Program. The sessions that qualify are: the cattle health demo, the marketing meeting and the cow colleges.
You will need to register in person or either by sending in the included registration form and your $125.00 registration fee by January 27, to the Fayette, Hardeman, or Haywood County Extension office.
