Environmental Stewardship

This award recognizes outstanding environmental stewardship efforts by young farmers while increasing public awareness of the agriculture community’s commitment to environmental stewardship. The award is designed to help young farmers who strive for environmental preservation and best management practices on their farms to evaluate their progress and celebrate their successes. County nominations will be submitted to county extension offices by June 1, 2024. District winners each receive $400. State winner will receive a personalized framed certificate and an environmental stewardship sign, along with a $1,000 cash award from TFBF, a trip to the AFBF YF&R Leadership Conference and trips to all Tennessee YF&R Conferences. The county UT Extension program of each district winner also receives $400 each. The county UT Extension program of state winner receives $1,000.
