Reinhardt Teacher Scholarships

The National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference Educator Scholarship program is to provide travel expense funds to educators employed by a school system to attend the national conference and then use the information gained to expand their outreach to students regarding food, fiber and fuel. Educators employed by a school system and working in grades K-12 who have demonstrated involvement in agricultural literacy programs are eligible to apply.

2015 Teachers Scholarships Recipients

Ten teachers have been recognized by the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture for their outstanding efforts to promote agricultural literacy. The teachers each received $1,500 scholarships to attend the National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference in June. The Foundation, through the White-Reinhardt Fund for Education, sponsored the scholarships in cooperation with the AFB Women’s Leadership Committee.

This year’s recipient from Tennessee is Kathy McLean of  Trimble Elementary in  Newbern.
