Four Students Awarded the John Willis Memorial Young Farmer Scholarship

Columbia, Tenn. July 18, 2020 – Four students were awarded the John Willis Memorial Young Farmer Scholarship at the Tennessee Young Farmers and Ranchers Summer Conference held at the headquarters of the Tennessee Farm Bureau in Columbia, Tenn. Kasey Harmon (left) of McMinn County attending the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Emily Nave of Cannon County attending the University of Tennessee at Martin, Kathryn Fellhoelter of Loudon County attending the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and Neil Stone (right) of Coffee County attending Middle Tennessee State University were all scholarship recipients.

The John Willis Memorial Young Farmer Scholarship is awarded to a college Sophomore, Junior or Senior agriculture student. The scholarship recipient must be a Tennessee Resident, an Agriculture Major, a Young Farmer and Rancher member, a Farm Bureau Family member and possess leadership activities. Five scholarships are awarded annually at the Tennessee Young Farmers Conference Banquet. Each scholarship is for $1,500 for the 2020-2021 academic year.
