Wildfire Relief Efforts: How You Can Help

To Farm Bureau members:

The recent fires and loss of property and livestock in the Western states of Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas fill all of us with compassion. We have experienced disaster and received assistance from our neighbors, both are humbling situations to find oneself. Recent conversations cause me to wonder about how we might help our Western neighbors and monitor needs. This will be an ongoing effort, but often, addressing the immediate need is what one feels necessary. The Giles County YF&R committee is doing just that! Close to a dozen young farmers from Giles County will be traveling to Oklahoma to address fencing needs, after consultation with the Oklahoma Farm Bureau and church organizations in that state. I’m proud of these young people and their volunteer spirit, reflected in the t-shirts they have designed to raise funds for their effort. Information about their effort or funds to assist them may be directed to the Giles County Farm Bureau, noted for YF&R relief efforts.

To support the immediate effort of the Giles County Young Farmers and Ranchers (Bryan Berry, President) send contributions payable to Giles Co. YF&R, or purchase custom designed T-shirts for fundraising to assist their work by contacting:
